Give one museum your attention. Start at Ichon, visit a selection of the National Museum of Korea's permanent galleries, and finish in the outdoor garden around Mirror Pond.
This is an independent visit with an editorial sequence. It includes no guided tour, special-exhibition ticket or Children's Museum reservation. Admission waiting time is unknown, so the planner can show only a partial time total.
Notice along the way
- A focused permanent-gallery visit
- Stone heritage in the museum grounds
- Mirror Pond and Cheongjajeong Pavilion
Your route, stop by stop
Walking and gallery ranges are editorial planning allowances, not official durations or field measurements. Museum entry waiting is unknown, so the displayed subtotal is incomplete and must not be treated as a confirmed fit. Travel to Ichon Station, separate exhibitions and meal stops are excluded. Your selected buffer and optional return leg are added separately.

Ichon Station to the museum entrance
Start at street level outside Exit 2 and follow museum signs. This plan uses the outdoor approach; the museum also describes an underground station connection. Allowance is editorial, not a measured journey.

Museum entry and any admission queue
Admission and security waiting time, including whether a queue is indoors, are unverified. Unknown is not zero. Check current visitor notices before travelling.

Choose a few permanent galleries
An editorial allowance for a selective self-guided visit, including movement within the galleries. Use the museum's current guide to choose what interests you; this is not time to see every collection.

If you return to the start
Optional editorial allowance from the museum grounds to the street-level starting point. Train boarding and travel onward are excluded.
Additional editorial allowance: 15–30 minutes.
Before you go
- Check the museum's current opening, last-admission and gallery-closure notices for your date; the planner does not check operating calendars.
- Special exhibitions and the Children's Museum have separate entry arrangements. Confirm them directly before adding either to your day.
- Read the museum's visitor rules for food, photography and belongings. Flash and tripods are restricted, and commercial photography requires advance written permission.
- Use the current visitor guide to choose galleries and confirm access needs. Do not assume the outdoor garden and indoor galleries share the same access arrangements.
Check your company’s needs
Step-free access
The museum describes station elevators, but the selected outdoor approach and complete garden sequence have not been audited together.
Stroller access
The museum lists stroller services. Availability and the full outdoor itinerary remain unverified; a facility service is not a route-wide access guarantee.
Suitability for children
The museum offers child-oriented resources, but suitability of this full itinerary has not been assessed. The separately reserved Children's Museum is not part of this plan.
A separate indoor idea
Make it a museum-only visit
If the garden no longer suits the conditions, use the museum's visitor guide to plan a shorter gallery-only visit. Check gallery opening notices and plan the approach and return separately. Entry waiting remains unknown, and the original route total no longer applies.
