Start at the Yeonnam side of Hongik Univ. Station for a self-guided half-day of park paths and neighbourhood streets. Gyeongui Line Forest Park gives the outing a clear spine; leave it briefly for the surrounding lanes, then return toward the station and Book Street.
The base plan is an outdoor walk with time to pause. It does not require a café purchase or guarantee an author event, performance, open bookshop or workshop place. Those optional stops need their own opening and admission checks.

Make a short loop through the streets beside the park, return toward Hongik Univ. Station and follow a current street map to Exit 6 and Book Street. This editorial allowance includes shopfront browsing and crossings; entering shops or queuing for food is extra.

Finish outside Hongik Univ. Exit 6
Return from Book Street to the outside of Exit 6. This short editorial allowance ends at ground level. Finding the correct platform and any train travel are excluded.

Optional street-level return between the two sides of the station. This is an editorial allowance including crossings, not a measured transfer or an indoor station route.
Additional editorial allowance: 10–20 minutes.

- Exit 3 is the starting point; Exit 6 is the finish. Arriving at a different exit adds wayfinding and walking before or after the displayed route.
- Check current park signs and local conditions. Indoor shopping and café stops are optional and are not treated as guaranteed shelter.
- Book Street's programmes are separate from walking through the outdoor space. Check a current announcement before planning around a talk or event.
- Keep residential doorways clear and ask before photographing shop interiors. Add your own food or shopping allowance rather than treating it as part of the walking estimate.

For an indoor arts alternative, check current exhibitions at KT&G Sangsangmadang, 65 Eoulmadang-ro. It is a separate stop on the Hongdae side of the neighbourhood. Confirm the operating floor, programme, tickets and entry conditions; its detour, visit and possible wait are not included in this route's total.
